As part of our transdisciplinary approach, our team includes a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and, when needed, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). Utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methods, we focus on supporting students in various ways. Our strategies aim to enhance socially appropriate behaviors (e.g., on-task behavior, social interactions), teach essential life skills (e.g., communication, social skills) and maintain positive behaviors (e.g., self-control, self-monitoring). We also work on generalizing behaviors across different settings (e.g., applying skills learned in the resource room to the mainstream classroom), managing the conditions that trigger interfering behaviors (e.g., adjusting the learning environment) and reducing problematic behaviors (e.g., self-injury or stereotypy).
